Job duties and responsibilities
Assist in preparing agendas.
Coordinating the production of papers and minutes for the Group Board, Sub Committees and recordkeeping and ensuring that there is effective follow through on all relevant matters arising and action points.
Implementation of the various tasks as per the departmental objectives and ensure timeous resolution of matters.
Working with the relevant departments to ensure that all scheduled departmental activities are implemented, including organizing all aspects of the Group Board and other meetings and ensuring all involved are aware of upcoming commitments and responsibilities.
Collating, reviewing and preparing a range of papers and correspondence, proactively identifying and distilling pertinent issues where appropriate.
Appropriately handling of correspondence and documentation for the Secretariat, including documentation of a sensitive or confidential nature using a high degree of discretion.
Drafting and submission of statutory returns with the Corporate Affairs Directorate.
Job Description
Qualifications and Experience
A relevant 1st Degree
Professional Qualification (related to Company Secretarial)
Minimum of 2 years working experience (Company Secretarial related)
Competencies
Company Secretarial Practice Background.
Understanding of governance particularly in a Financial Services Industry.
Ability to communicate across the organization.
Able to maintain confidentiality.
Highly organized and able to work independently.
Proficiency in English
Computer Literacy.
Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure.
